How Infertility is caused by Tubal Blockage?
Each month, during the ovulation, an egg is released from one of
the ovaries. The egg travels from the ovaries through fallopian tubes
to the uterus. The sperm is also required to swim towards the egg from
the cervix through uterus, and through the tubes. The process of fertilization
generally takes place while the egg is traveling through a tube.
When there is a tubal blockage in one or both the tubes,
the egg gets obstructed reaching the uterus and the sperm gets
obstructed reaching the egg, thus, preventing the fertilization process and pregnancy.
